Why Canvas you ask? Well the simple answer is... It's the BEST!
Edison State College had to make the difficult decision in choosing a new learning management system that would best suit our students. After much testing of the big name learning management systems, we found that Canvas by Instructure is best for us here at Edison State College. We previously utilized CE6 from Blackboard for our LMS but with the advancement of new and innovative learning management systems, we found that Canvas served our needs the best.

The Canvas LMS has won acclaim from different institutions and is gaining momentum every day. We found Canvas to be more student and faculty friendly. Schools around the nation are choosing to use Canvas. Edison State College was one of the first 100 schools in the nation and first in Florida to adopt the LMS. We hope you will appreciate the ease and greatness of the system, as we have.

• It has a built-in conferencing feature which allows students and faculty to connect, right inside your course.
• Canvas has a clean and uncluttered look to it, unlike recent systems you might be used to.
• Canvas connects with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Docs - You can set course notifications to go right to your Facebook account, phone or email--whatever is easiest for you!
• Canvas has a better Grades feature. You will find the "dashboard," which features overall grades and stats of all the classes you're taking, right in one spot.
